One of the techniques to master when learning how to upholster is how to correctly make cuts around legs.
When making a cut around the leg on the front of a chair the first thing to do is to locate the intersection of the front rail and the leg.
Next mark with chalk at an angle up to the intersection of the front rail and the leg where the cut will be made, as
Then cut along the chalk line up to the intersection of
the front rail and leg.
Stretch the fabric under the front rail and tack in place.
